Gordon's Gin Advertising Campaign

I'm really unimpressed by the current Gordon's Gin outdoor advertising campaign featuring Gordon Ramsay. It was probably an idea that came up early on in a brainstorming session which should have been squashed.
Gordon Ramsay did not invent, own or have anything to do with the development of the brand which the advertising implies. It was Alexander Gordon - another Scot - who opened a distillery in London in 1769. Ramsay just happens to be a popular celebrity chef with the same name. What makes Ramsay qualified to talk about or advocate the brand? He's not a barman or a master distiller.
The advertising claims that Both Gordon Gin and Gordon Ramsay are uncompromising. Is that it? The link is very tenuous. I'm also unimpressed with the execution of the ad. The Ramsay photos are really unflattering. My recommendation - let's get to know the real Gordon, not this latterday imposter.
